Upon their triumphant return to school today, Year 6 have hit the ground running.

During their remote learning sessions, they have learnt how to calculate the perimeter of a shape but being back in school granted them the much needed opportunity to get their hands on some practical resources and see if their skills with a ruler were up to measure.

As the week goes on, Year 6 will be investigating both the area and perimeter of shapes of increasing complexity.

By Friday they should certainly have the measure of this practical Maths unit.
