The children in Reception got the opportunity to explore bits and bobs art this week. Linking with their focus on homes and houses in topic, they took their time to arrange the odd bits and bobs to create a dream home. You can see some creative and individual ideas as they used their fine motor skills to put in to place the objects to make a picture.

As they were building their images they where encouraged to use the new vocabulary they had learnt such as window, roof and floors. Some children even remembered the names of the different types of homes and described their homes as flats, detached or semi-detached houses. They have shown such great team work offering to pass different materials to each other and praising their friends on their beautiful bits and bobs house pictures!
