Investigating Diets From The Past

Year three went to the forest and they searched the forest to see if they could find the faces that year one had made the previous day. There was great excitement when they found some of the trees!

Year three were also lucky enough to find some ancient stone age poo! They dissected the matter to discover what stone age people ate. They found berries, nuts, bones, oats and even worms!  There was a discussion that people in the stone age spent a lot of time searching or hunting for food. Most of the children in the class decided that a present day diet was nicer than than a stone age diet as there is more variety of dishes and food is cooked properly in an oven now.
