Results Day – Eastbrook Year 13 students celebrate their success and look forward to exciting futures…

Year 13 students at Eastbrook School are celebrating an outstanding set of results today. They and their teachers worked extremely hard to make sure that they achieved the best grades possible despite the extremely challenging circumstances they all faced as a result of the Pandemic. Each student’s results have enabled them to progress to their planned next stage, which for most is university. There are many success stories, with a number of students registering for UCAS adjustment where their grades exceed firm choices, but particularly notable chosen places from today are:

·         Alfie Tucker – Alfie achieved AAB in French, Sociology and Maths and has secured a place at Oxford University to study French and Arabic

·         Rosheka Salmon – Rosheka achieved Distinction* AA in IT, English and Art and will be moving on to Essex University to study English and Comparative Literature

Headteacher Paul Frith said, ‘ I want to congratulate all of our Year 13 students on their hard work and achievements; I am so proud of them all. The events of the last 18 months have been extremely challenging but through their commitment and determination they will all move on to their next stage fully equipped for successful futures. I know that the students would also want me to publicly recognise the contribution of their teachers. Their skill and dedication ensured the students were fully prepared and able to achieve these fantastic results.’

These results round off another very successful year for Eastbrook School where Ofsted visited three times and on each occasion highly commended the work of the school during and following the pandemic lock downs.

We wish all of our Year 13 students the best for their futures
