Our Art & Design high achievers in Key Stage 3 are keen to attend our bespoke enrichment workshops after school, where they can further develop their skills and learn new techniques. Here we have Roshan Nabukeera and Alicia Ukuti Edmund in 9B, Wanissa Alloune in 9C, Rahat Hafiz in 9D and Karina Juozapaviciute in 9E exploring a selection of portrait artists. This week they were inspired by Jenny Saville’s distorted portraits. Using graphite sticks, the students produced portraits that explore distortion, abstraction and mark making.  I am sure you will agree that their highly developed outcomes show they are open to exploring new materials and ideas.
