Welcome new Year 7 artists! We are very excited that you are going for your Discover Arts Award! This is a project designed to help you transition successfully into secondary school year and to encourage an interest in arts and culture.

The Discover Arts Award is accredited by Trinity College London, and there are five different levels. Discover Arts Award is the first level. Once complete, you will receive a certificate in the Year 7 celebration assembly.

Hopefully, you will already be working through your logbook together with your form tutor and your art teacher is able to help you with the research and practical tasks.

Parents/ carers, it’ll be great if you could ask your child about the award and encourage them to complete it to the best of their ability. Feel free to ask for help as well!

The Visual Arts department are looking forward to seeing all your completed logbooks in a few weeks’ time.
