The Eastbrook summer school has been in full swing during the last week and pupils have thoroughly enjoyed their secondary school experience. Each day started with a Literacy & Numeracy session where pupils had the chance to try a variety of Maths challenges & fun Literacy activities. The next two sessions varied throughout the week and each pupil had the chance to take part in two Photography, Cooking, Science & ICT lessons. Everyone was extremely engaged during these sessions and had fun walking around the school & being creative. The final session of the day was Sports where pupils had the chance to take part in Football, Basketball, Volleyball & Dance. Each day finished with a Character Education assembly in Brook Hall.
All pupils were put in a house and at the start of the week which finished with a house sports tournament where pupils participated against each other in Football & Basketball. The winners of the tournament were Lion house. Once the competition finished we all had lunch & went to Capital Karts where pupils had a go carting session followed by the trampoline park.
All in all everyone involved had a brilliant week & enjoyed all the engaging activities staff had planned for them.
Thank you to all the week one staff that came in & made it the success it was.
Looking forward to the second week.
