Eastbrook Performs ‘A Christmas Carol’

Year 7 and 8 have been working hard with Drama teacher Mr Walker on the most popular Charles Dickens story  ‘A Christmas Carol’. A play about a mean-spirited and selfish old man, Ebenezer Scrooge, who hates Christmas. One cold Christmas Eve, Scrooge is unkind to the people who work for him, then refuses to give to charity, and then is rude to his nephew when he invites him to spend Christmas with him. That night Scrooge is taken on a magical journey and visited by 3 ghosts that reflect his life.! They are the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Future. The ghosts’ journey through time teaches Scrooge the error of his ways. When he wakes up on Christmas Day, he is full of excitement, and buys the biggest turkey in the shop for the Cratchit family before spending the day with his nephew, full of the joys of Christmas.

The show shall be performed live on Wednesday 14th December in East Hall starting at 6:30pm

Tickets cost £2 each and can be purchased via parent pay and collected beforehand by students from either Mr Walker or Mrs Bishop in Performing Arts

We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the hard work that the students have been putting into their rehearsals over the last few months.
