A Healthy Mind = A Healthy Heart

This term, the traditional ECS program for our students has been suspended. Instead, ECS is being delivered through form time with the focus on our student’s mental health and well-being with support and advice tailored for students through discussions with their form tutors. This has allowed our students to try out different ways and to learn to reduce their stressors and undertake personal development in resilience, positivism and self –esteem towards their own education. This helps our students build their independence and confidence in themselves.

The Year 7s continue with their weekly ECS lessons, delivered by their teachers. The unit of study comprises of mental health, peer pressure, e-safety, anti-bullying, praising themselves and building resilience. The openness of discussions and the various positive solutions to problems facing today’s students are a reminder of just how strong and resourceful Eastbrook students can be.

We applaud our students hard work this term and in the words of Britain’s greatest generation – Keep Calm and Carry On.
