A Buzz About Books

Students in Years 7 and  8 were delighted to receive a free book this week as part of Bookbuzz.

For the past seven years, Eastbrook has participated in the scheme to ensure that all students receive a contemporary and quality reading book.

Students had seventeen texts to choose from; they were shown videos about each book, usually with an introduction by the author, before making their selection.

The most popular choices this year were Little Badman and the Invasion of the Killer Aunties (Humza Arshad and Henry White), Crater Lake (Jennifer Killick) and The Haven (Simon Lelic).

It is hoped that when students have read their books they will share with their friends (following covid rules, obviously!) so they can read as many as possible from the range.

Many thanks to Mrs Lotter for organising Bookbuzz once again!
