Easter Arrangements – Lateral Flow Testing

Return to school – Lateral Flow Testing

We are totally committed to doing all we can to ensure the safety of our school community. To this end please note the following:

All students should continue to test themselves on each Wednesday and Sunday of the Easter break. Please remember that it is essential to report the test results on test register and the Gov.uk website. The link below has more detail on this. https://www.eastbrookschool.org/secondary/news/lateral-flow-testing-at-home/

During the first two days of the holiday any positive test results should be reported to the school via the email address office@eastbrookschool.org

This is so we can alert anyone who might be considered a close contact and need to isolate.

A reminder that no student should come to school if they have tested positive within 10 days of the return to school. In these circumstances, parents should get in touch with the school to ensure that we manage a safe and appropriate return for the student.

Return Plans

On Monday 19th April all students whose parents have previously given consent for lateral flow testing will be tested on their return to school.

Students are still required to carry out the home testing on Sunday evening in order to ensure that any students that test positive do not return to school.

Note that this will mean a staggered start to the first day. Students will remain in their tutor groups until the end of period 2 and return to normal lessons after the first break. Click on the image below for details

Thank you to all members of our school community for their support with this.
