Year 6 were visited by the wonderful Michaela from the East London Waste Authority (ELWA). They took part in activities designed to make them think about what they are throwing away and what happens to their rubbish after it is collected.

After finding out about the hierarchy of what happens to the waste – ranging from landfill all the way up to reducing the amount of stuff they buy –  the children made promises to be more sustainable in their lives now and in the future as adults.
