The children are starting their learning focused on the Great Fire of London. The children have built Tudor houses and today they noticed that some flames had appeared on the buildings. The children transported themselves back to 1666 and into the bakery of Thomas Farriner on Pudding Lane. The children baked bread and we discussed how ovens in 1666 would have had real fires and how sparks from this started the fire.
