Our Computing learning this half -term is based around the use of Garageband  and the exploration of different beats, live loops and rhythms.  We have been using the program to create and compose a series of live loops using the RnB aspect of the program. Before we were able to compose our own live loop, we first had to listen to a variety of samples which was very exciting and provided use with a better understanding of the use of a rhythmic pattern. We are also beginning to understand that a difference in pitch within a sample could change the atmosphere the piece of music can convey and that a repetitive loop allows the listener to pre-empt what may take place. We are having a noteworthy time exploring Garageband, soon we will be editing and improving our initial piece.
