For their first virtues day Reception spent their morning learning the vocabulary of our school’s 5 virtues. They related the virtues to superhero powers and came up with actions to remember the powers. During circle time the children went round and were able to to say one thing that they were grateful for, they then wrote on a petal what they were thankful for to build our class gratitude flower. During this session they also discussed the importance of kind caring hands, showing their understanding of what it means to a good helpful friend.

In the afternoon they focused on the virtues of Teamwork and Perseverance, working together they had to get the hula hoop around the circle without breaking the chain. Lots of fun was had the children did not give up with the tricky task.
