Year 2 have been reading Traction Man is Here by Mini Grey in their English lessons this half term. Today they had the opportunity to flip the script and start writing about the events of the story from the point of view of Traction Man himself. The children started to look at changing the wording of the story from 3rd person narration to a 1st person diary entry using ‘I’, ‘my’ , ‘we’ and ‘our’ in their discussions about the book.

The children worked in pairs to sequence one of Traction Man’s missions into the correct order. Year 2 will be using this work next week to write their very own diary entry versions of Traction Man’s adventures.
