There were a lot of excited pupils entering school this Monday because … Year 3 were going swimming!

The pupils displayed lots of school character virtues such as teamwork – helping each other to ensure everyone brought the right kit home with them, courage for some on first entering the pool, perseverance – when striving to complete a width of the pool, love of learning when splashing in noodles and kindness when thanking the driver as they hopped off the bus.

The Year 3 staff were incredibly proud of the pupils when they entered the water, there was little hesitation and they listened keenly to the instructors. Some of the pupils displayed beautiful swimming strokes and staff were not sure if one pupil was a mermaid as she swam so elegantly!

With positive attitudes, a growth mindset and enthusiasm, Year 3 should make outstanding progress in their swimming lessons this term! The next lesson cannot come soon enough!
