Pupils in Year Six consolidated their learning about ‘Light’ in science and the play Macbeth they have been studying in English with a shadow puppet theatre, combing both!

Firstly, pupils summarised the play into a two-minute narrative story.  Next, they created their shadow puppets by drawing outlines of the characters on thick card, cutting them out and then attaching them onto sticks. They practised acting out the play, in time to the narrative story before finally they presented their performance to Years Three and Four.

Pupils watched the performance and enjoyed the puppet show. They gave some constructive comments to the Year Six pupils, who were pleased with the outcome of the show!
