In Year 4 this week, we had used our observational skills to learn and discover more about different types of rocks. We have already learnt that there are three different types of natural rocks: Igneous rocks, Sedimentary rocks and Metamorphic rocks. During our observations, we used magnifying glasses to get a closer look at the rock sample that we had. Alongside this, we also explored human made rocks such as bricks and roof tiles. The children we extremely fascinated by the weight of  the brick and  they we also intrigued by the amethyst crystal which shimmered in the light. Who would have thought rocks could be so interesting.
