Over the past two weeks, the children of Year Two have started to learn about Multiplication. The children have focused on the multiplication symbol and what that actually means. They have discussed that it means equal groups of and can be shown as a repeated addition.

Using online activities and resources from around the class and home, the children have been able to show equal groups of and arrays. By being able to show a multiplication in an array, the children have discovered that multiplication can be done in any order e.g. 3×2 and 2×3.
