Pupils went back in time today to become high priests and priestesses from Egyptian times in order to mummify a monkey! The children were very organised and professional embalmers, they used all the equipment well, giving a detailed explanation of the task that they were doing. They had enormous fun and learnt a wealth of information about the ancient Egyptian mummification process. In their next lesson they will be writing instructions on how to mummify a body.
