This week the children in Reception have been learning all about flowering plants. They have worked so hard using their new vocabulary to label the parts of a flower. Some of the children at home got creative with their Science and made their flower models from different materials before labelling it. The children have even investigated into what a plant needs to survive, we discussed, a little similar to us they need water, sun, soil, time and space. The final task of the week the children observed the life cycle of a plant in a time lapse video and then had to sequence pictures into the correct order.

They have shown great curiosity with this Topic, questioning their new knowledge and wanting to find out more. They have impressed with their listening and attention skills, with lots of new knowledge this week we have definitely grown together!
