The children in Reception had their Monday filled with Character education, they focused on the school mains virtues and learnt a little more about what it means to show perseverance and determination.

Their task for expressing gratitude was to write one thing that they are thankful for, you can see by the pictures the wonderful responses. They furthered this conversation with learning about empathy and realizing that some people are not as lucky as us and from this the children showed great amounts of compassion.

When they went on to discuss manners and politeness, the children were bursting with suggestions to write on our kind hands. They have been applying these manners, at school and at home spreading their politeness and smiles.
