In PHSE our topic this half-term is ‘Healthy Me’, pupils have been leaning about how to take care of themselves both mentally and physically.
Pupils discussed situations and actions that could cause stress, and what stress could look like in a person. They agreed that stress was not a pleasant emotion and people are happier without this feeling. They thought of things and activities that they could do to reduce or eliminate stress, such as take a walk to the park, discuss their feelings with a friend, play sport or read a book in a quiet place.
Pupils then constructed 3D cubes, on the faces of the cubes were images and suggestions of how to destress. If children are feeling under stress they could roll the cube and find a solution to help manage their feelings.
