Building a human skeleton

Pupils in year three made their own model skeletons, that look fabulous! They correctly named the bones on the life size skeleton in the classroom and they were able to describe the purpose of the bones, for support or to protect certain organs. The children then cut out and assembled the bones, attaching the joints using split pins. They  were able to describe different types of joints such as a ball and socket one. This lesson completes our work on the human skeleton.
