It has been a week full of fun and excitement in year 5. This week children have continued their focus study of the artist Julian Opie and portraits. This has involved taking pictures of their faces, completing a drawing of the outline of their faces, and adding colour to each of their master pieces using a range of media. Pupils have had the opportunity to discuss the stylistic features such as, bold outlines and the tones and colours required to represent each of their faces. Pupils discussed their ideas with a talk partner and provided supportive feedback to aid further improvements to their work.
