A Victorious Virtues Day

Year Three pupils have thoroughly enjoyed their second ‘Virtues Day’ of the year. They started off the day with the virtue of cleanliness, learning how to brush their teeth effectively and they made posters explaining this.

Next they learnt about the virtue of fairness, pupils listened to the story of the ‘Three Little Pigs’ then they devised open ended questions to ask the wolf in a hot seating session. The children really enjoyed acting in role as Mr. Wolf!

Onto the virtue of Friendship after break, pupils wrote on post it notes, stuck onto friend’s back their best qualities, kind, helpful, considerate were words that were repeated often- which was fabulous to see. There was great excitement when the children peeled off the post it notes to reveal what their friend’s had written about them.  After lunch they drew a picture of one of their friend’s in their book and described their best qualities.

Lastly we discussed and demonstrated the role of respect in our sharing assembly at the end of another busy week.
