To continue with the history focus of transport, the children found out about the history of flight, from the first hot air balloon flight to the first space launch. The children had images of the different types of transport which could fly and they needed to sort them on a timeline based on what they thought first, and then the true order was revealed to them. The children then recorded the date for each event and discuss the differences between the Wright Flyer and a modern aeroplane.
