ScratchJr Audio Antics…

The Year 1 classroom felt more like a rather noisy wildlife park this afternoon as the children busily extended their computing learning. The children recalled their prior programming knowledge about recording and playing back audio using the ScratchJr programme and today managed to record a series of different animal sounds to suit their selected animal sprites. Pupils confidently navigated between two different palettes and the programming area to sequence a range of animal sounds to begin when the correct animal was tapped.

The finished pieces were so magnificent that I definitely thought that the Year 1 children had been swapped with some of the local wildlife. We have some very talented animal impersonators and some incredibly proud Year 1 grown ups too!
