For their exit point to their Rocks and Soils topic, Year 3 made edible sedimentary rock!

They added m and m’s, smarties and marshmallow to cups to represent soil granules and sediments. They then placed a biscuit over the sweets and pressed down on the biscuit, the pressure of their hands represented the sea pressing on the sediment of the sea floor.

Afterwards they ate their sedimentary rock …. mmmmmm delicious!
