Mock exams, w/b 11th January 2021

The Year 11 mock exams are cancelled until further notice.

We believe that it is important for pupils to be fully equipped for learning.  We would like to make you aware that the Year 11 GCSE Mock exams will start on Monday 11th January 2021.  Students should be fully equipped for all exams by having with them a pen (black ball point), pencil, sharpener, rubber and ruler.  Also, students will need a protractor, calculator and compass for their Maths exams and possibly for some other subjects also.

Please see the Yr11 Mock exam TT Jan 2021 and please also support your child’s success by encouraging them to prepare thoroughly for their scheduled exams.  These Mock exams are very important to us and to the pupils.  Should there be a need to submit centre assessed grades again this year, then these Mock exams will inform teachers towards that final grade, although I must stress this is not the only assessment teachers will take into account.

In external exams such as the Year 11 GCSE exams in Summer 2021, you are not allowed to have any unauthorised items in the exam room such as mobile phones, smart wrist watches or any kind of electronic device or your results may be cancelled. For these internal Mock exams, prior to sitting at their examination desks, we will be asking all pupils to place any electronic devices in their school bag (switched off and at their own risk).  As such I would recommend if possible that your child not bring any mobile phones etc on the day of an exam.

If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
