Greenwich Trip

Last week the house & sport captains in Year 9 took part in a character education trip visiting Greenwich. This was a reward for all their efforts in organising the sports house tournament back in May.

We started the trip by visiting the Royal Observatory and taking many photos of the brilliant views that London has to offer from that location. This was the first time many of the pupils had visited Greenwich park so they had never seen that view before. Next up was the descent down to Greenwich Market where pupils had the chance to see the different stalls selling a variety of products.

Once we were finished in the market we then visited the National Maritime Museum where pupils got the chance to achieve a greater understanding of British economic, cultural, social, political and maritime history and its consequences in the world today.

We then took the short walk to the Cutty Sark and finished our day walking around the flower garden back in Greenwich Park. Throughout the day pupils took part in a competition to see who took the best photos of the trip. Although there many outstanding photos taken (please see the gallery below) Nellija in 9A was the winner.
