Where does a year 12 student learning about childcare start?

From the beginning of course!

The level 3 learners have made a promising start to their journey of becoming Early Years Practitioners.

They have completed their first assessment by producing a booklet showing an understanding of development from conception to birth. Including a descriptions of the stages of development, an explanation of the routine checks carried out and a description of the factors that may impact upon the development of the baby.

I look forward to the next assessment in the form of an essay, whereby students are required to explain what is meant by the term ‘Holistic’ development and the factors which can influence children’s development.
