Things We Are Grateful For…

Year 8 are continuing to work through their planned Character Education Programme. The current topic being ‘Virtue of Gratitude’. Some lovely work being produced – this made me stop and think, perhaps we all need to spend some time on showing our gratitude.

Things I’m Grateful For

1. My family for loving and caring for me.
2. My friends for sticking with me and helping me through tough times.
3. Having parents who both love me and accept me for who I am.
4. My pets for being a source of comfort when I need it to cheer me up.
5. School for giving me the right education I need and never giving up on me.
6. Having plenty of food and clean water because lots of people do not have these things.
7. Having a house to live in no matter the size because any house is better than having no house.
8. Having warm water because some people don’t even have a house or don’t have the money to pay for their gas therefore they have to have cold water.
9. Life itself because some days it can feel like it’s not worth it but really you’re just thinking of the worst. Life is one of the best things and when you realise it you will understand; you may still have the bad days but you will get through them.
10. The NHS because they are risking their lives right now to save ours. Even before the pandemic they put in all of their effort to save our lives. They never gave up on us and we are never going to give up on them.
