Reaching for the Skies

On Friday the 4th February,  I had the opportunity to meet a commercial pilot so I could ask him for some advice and knowledge on the steps of becoming a pilot. For example the courses and licenses, how much they would individually cost, sponsors and scholarships, universities and flight schools as well. We talked about how he became a pilot. This opportunity really helped me, as it increased my level of understanding of how to achieve my dream goal in also becoming a commercial pilot.

He also gave me an enormous aeronautical chart, which I stuck up on my bedroom wall, a copy of Flight Training newspaper and a sheet telling me of the requirements and places to look at going after sixth form. I’m now better informed about how to become a commercial pilot and looking to go on and study maths and sciences at Eastbrook Sixth Form.  This couldn’t of been done if it wasn’t for Miss Gilbert and Mr Hickman, I am truly grateful for their efforts on helping me work toward achieving my dream career.
