Eastbrook selected for national covid study
Eastbrook School has been selected to take part in a national clinical study designed to help the country learn and understand more about Covid 19. We are one of only 150 schools nationally who have been selected to participate. At Eastbrook the study is aimed exclusively at students in Years 7 and 8. The tests will take place on Monday the 9th November for Year 7 and Tuesday 10th November for Year 8. These initial tests will be followed up with regular tests during the year.
Note that it is optional for students to participate. However, I hope parents will agree that any contribution we can collectively make to help the country fight the pandemic is very worthwhile and I would encourage all parents to allow their children to take part. Please also note that the process is not the invasive one that many of us will be familiar with, but a much simpler and more comfortable one as described in the information below.
