Launching EBK VWEX 2021!

Today sees the launch of Eastbrook School’s Virtual Work Experience Week for Year 11s and 13s.

The effect on the world of work brought upon by the global pandemic has been drastic and this week will support students to prepare for the new normal of working life. The week is packed full of work related experiences, such as virtual careers fairs, world of work conferences and careers mentoring, provided by universities, employers and educational organisations.

Today, students heard from Willow Herold from InvestIN, an organisation providing students with an immersive experience of their dream career before they start university, so they can get a head-start over their competition. Willow outlined the importance of work experience and covered topics such as what is needed in today’s job market.

Our students asked insightful questions and made  impressive contributions in their discussions. What a fantastic way to kick off the week!
