Dear Parent/carer,
RE: End of Year exams, June 2023
We will begin preparing pupils for their end of year exams, we would now like to make you aware that Year 7 through to Year 10 end of year exams will start Friday 16th June and end on Friday 30th June. Students should be fully equipped for all exams by having with them a pen (black ball point), pencil, sharpener, rubber and ruler. Also, students will need a protractor, calculator and compass for their Maths exams.
Please see attached exam timetable. Please support your child’s success by encouraging them to revise thoroughly for their scheduled exams. The results from these exams will contribute in the end of year progress report for your child.
In Years 7 8 & 9, DT exams have been taking place at the end of either their textiles, food or DT carousel. IT exams will take place in class via online testing. Years 7 8 & 9 Art exams will take place over several lessons in their usual Timetable. Drama and Music end of year assessments will also take place in class for all years 7 to 10. There will be no Core PE end of year exams.
In external exams such as the year 11 GCSE, you are not allowed to have any unauthorised items in the exam room such as mobile phones, smart watches or any kind of electronic device or your results may be cancelled. For these internal end of year exams, prior to sitting at their examination desks, we will be asking all pupils to place any electronic devices in their school bag (switched off and at their own risk).
