Democracy in Action- Eastbrook School Council Elections

While many of our students were too young to vote in the recent general election, Eastbrook School held our very own school council elections on the 6th of December.

Each form was able to field candidates and demonstrate democracy in action. Many candidates delivered passionate speeches to appeal and attract their voters to elected them; outlining why they would be the best choice to lead the school council. All the speeches were well written and delivered and many students made posters and badges to campaign around the school. The school council election enabled many of the students to learn about democracy and the democratic process as part of our school’s support for British Values.

Well done to all the students who nominated themselves and gave speeches in front of their forms.
