Where does food travel to in the body?

Year three role played the digestive process today… They mashed up a balanced plate of food with forks to simulate teeth, added some saliva and then popped the food in a bag, which was the stomach. They scrunched up the food as stomach muscles would and added orange juice, which symbolised stomach acid. Next, they forced the food through the intestines (which was actually some tights). Finally, a hole was cut in the tights and the food waste was deposited through the hole as excrement.
