Virtues Day, Give It A Go!

For virtues day this term, the children in reception started by revisited the little red hen story in which they were able to identify the importance of teamwork. They loved the different characters and discussed their different roles in the story. They were even able to give each character a voice.

Their second session focused on being brave and showing courage. Their well-known friend Chase helped them understand the language of courage and what virtues you need to be brave. After lunch, they had to put that courage to the test and faced a challenge of trying the slimly green mixture they had been shown. Little did they know it was custard dyed green! It was great to see them using that ‘can do’ and ‘give it go’ attitude and for them to show their courage when trying something new.
