Snowflake’s Little Shape Sorters

Snowflake, the Year 1 elf, was very mischievous this morning and hid himself away from the children. When he was eventually found, he had sent the children a note asking for their help to build him a rocket so that he could travel to space to compare it to the North Pole. There was a long list of rules that Snowflake set though, which really tested the 2D shape knowledge of the children and made sure that they built him a successful rocket, just like he wanted. The clues included some quite tricky mathematical language, inlcuding ‘My rocket needs two identical four sided shapes that release the flames from the bottom’. Year 1, your teamwork shone through, beautifully…and Snowflake, we hope you have a fantastic time in space!
