Reflections

We have had a fantastic time this week learning about reflections and which surfaces create the best reflections. Before our exploration, we thought that a transparent pane of glass would allow us to see our reflection quite clearly. During our exploration, we learnt that that is not the case. Year 4 have learnt that a reflection is caused by light bouncing off a shiny surface with the image being seen directly to our eyes. We used a variety of materials during our explorations: paper, wood, glass and metal. At the end of our experiment, we all agreed that we enjoy looking in the mirror when we at home simply because it allows us to see our reflection!
