Year 1 bounded back into school this morning ready to start the new half term showing real gusto towards their learning. Recalling our mathematical learning from the end of last half term around adding two numbers together by counting on from the greatest number, the children enjoyed a meaningful game of Addition Connect 4. The aim was to roll the die, identify the greater number, count on from the greatest number and calculate the total. Then it was simply a race to see who could get four in a row first. The competitive spirit really blew the half term cobwebs away.
