In their science learning this half term both Year 2 & Year 6 will be working on units focusing on what and how they see (light) and what and how they hear (sound). To fully engage the children into the topic straight away, they visited a pop up light and sound room which was put together to encourage the children to show their curiosity. Each Year 6 child was given a small number of Year 2 children to lead on an exploration around the room, investigating and questioning various light and sound objects. This initial exploration will form the basis of the rest of the lessons coming up in this unit of work and will enable the children to take a lead on what they learn about in the coming weeks.
