On Friday Reception and Year 5 teamed up for a Forest school adventure. With the learning intentions of matching the correct amount of natural objects to a numeral they were off! In their mixed groups of Reception and Year 5’s, they worked beautifully together with the Year 5’s guiding and supporting their younger team mates. Once they had collected all their objects and matched them to their number cards, they were pushed on to then work out which number was greater than or less than. The Year 5 tutored and modelled this fantastically, talking to their new Reception friends with kindness and patience.

Once all work had been complete, the children sat down for story time and a juice in the sun. You can see from the pictures a wonderful morning was had, new friendships formed and learning intentions met with a smile!
