The children in Reception started their Music lesson this week by rehearsing their class dance routine focusing on the pulse. They even used their hands and bodies as instruments capping and patting along to the rhythm. The children played a very fun game using maracas and glockenspiel, Mrs. Vale played a rhythm and the children copied it back with great precision.

Their new learning this week was the song ‘Big Bear Funk’, which they particularly enjoyed the lyrics and funky beat. They furthered their learning by adding instruments to their performance, raising their shakers and belle maracas up high a to play the high notes and down to the floor for the low notes. It was very impressive to see such good rhythm and fun while making Music together!
