The children in Reception had a wonderful surprise left by the class Elf on Thursday afternoon. The Elf had left ingredients to make Christmas chocolate chip cookies and he asked Year 5 to help.  The children set off in groups, with the Year 5 modeling how to mix the butter into the dry ingredients. It took some perseverance but they got there, with each group successfully then place their dough onto their baking tray.

It was inspiring to see the attitude and kindness the older children showed to their younger group members, with wonderful conversations and busts of new confidence from the Reception children.  The children then enjoyed their homemade treats on Friday at their class Christmas parties, proud smiles around as they didn’t leave a crumb!
