Dogs Trust Support

Today the Eastbrook Primary community came to together to show their support for the amazing charity the Dogs Trust by having a non-uniform day. The charity has been running for over 130 years and until 2003 was known as the National Canine Defence League. We lent our support to this charity, to extend the learning that was already taking place in Year 4, who have been reading Pugs of the Frozen North, where pugs feature alongside the main protagonist, Shen.

We had the pleasure of welcoming, Charlotte Hossack, who was able to share her expertise with the entire school community by reminding us how important it is for us to care and love the dogs we have in our care. Charlotte also explained crossing your arms across your chest is a way in which we can safe stay if we are confronted by an aggressive dog. Our charity drive, enabled us to raise £180 which goes to the Dogs Trust so that they can continue their valuable work.  Finally, we at Eastbrook Primary School would like to extend a massive thank you to the entire school community for continuing to lend their support to our amazing school!
