Black History Month in art

To celebrate Black History Month pupils in Year three have studied the artist LeRoy Clarke, who lived in Trinidad. This links with the work that they will complete during the Spring term, when they will study ‘Islands’ and the book ‘Gregory Cool’ set in the Caribbean. The children looked at Clarke’s  painting ‘Now’ about freedom for all people and unity, they were then inspired to produce their own pieces of art work. They look stunning and I’m sure you will agree. Well done Year three!
